This policy explains what personal data Mars Meno collects when you visit this store or buy from it, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We wrote it to be read, not to be skimmed past.
1. What we collect
We collect only what an order or an account actually needs:
- Order data — name, email, shipping address, phone number and the contents of your order.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card; we never see or store the full card number.
- Account data — your email, password hash and order history if you create an account.
- Messages you send us — the content of contact-form submissions and support emails.
- Usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referral or campaign that brought you here.
2. How we use it
To process and ship your order, to answer your messages, to handle refunds and guarantee claims, to prevent fraud, to meet tax and accounting obligations, and — only if you asked for it — to send you email marketing. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the cart, the checkout and your login session; you cannot turn these off without breaking the store. We also use analytics and advertising cookies to understand which pages and campaigns work. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it before those load, and you can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on this site or your browser.
4. Who we share it with
Only with the providers required to run the store, and only with the data they need: our payment processor, our fulfilment and shipping carriers, our email provider, our hosting and analytics providers. Each is bound by contract to process the data on our instructions. We may also disclose data when a law, a court order or a fraud investigation requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and commercial law requires. Account data is kept while your account is open. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support conversations are kept for two years. After that, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@marsmeno.com — we answer within 30 days and we never charge for it.
7. Security
The store runs over HTTPS, payment data goes straight to a PCI-DSS compliant processor, passwords are stored hashed, and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
8. Children
This store sells supplements intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes are announced by email to customers with an account.
